Insurance Increase ? - Page 2 Empty Insurance Increase ?

First topic message reminder :

Anyone noticed a sharp rise in premiums?

I'm being told they have gone up 30-50%, with my renewal being 'discounted' to a 50% increase. Their first attempt at getting rid of me they had quoted an increase of 215% Shocked
It was cheaper to insure two bikes last year than just one now.

Wonder if the riots prompted this :(

I don't care for all the phone calls I get for weeks afterwards.

I just put a false number in & a false email then they leave you alone!

How do you get the quote then? I use different email addresses for these things, that way when the spam starts I know where it came from.

I'd rather not give them a chance, as it is I've never had a competitive quote from any of them - so for me it doesn't work and I derive far more pleasure annoying someone in a call centre Very Happy

Because the one I chose to go with you always have chance to check & change details.

TBH Steve, I'd rather talk to someone, it's a lot easier

If you use Gmail you can set up another account for stuff that isn't true spam, but you'd rather didn't hit your main Inbox and is easy to filter.

Gmail doesn't recognise dots in your username, so you can create one that includes them.
i.e. You main username could be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]*, so you create another that uses [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (you can fire the dots in anywhere), then set up a mail filter to put mails to that address into a custom folder.
Any sites you register with and may want to filter, you use the address that includes the dots.

(btw, my main account does include a dot...just in case you look at my email address and think that I'm filtering you. green smile )

*the x is to protect the innocent from mail harvesters.
