Hello from sunny Newcastle
Hi everyone, just a quick hello from me. I've been lurking around the forum for a couple of weeks but since I bought my cat on Saturday I figured it was time to jump in and join you.
I have my Mod 1 next Thursday and Mod 2 test on June 12th so until then I'll just have to make myself content with looking at her in the garage
Hopefully I'll see you on the road in a few weeks!
Baz

Re: Hello from sunny Newcastle
Thanks Ellie,
Fell for the cat when I was 17 but the mother wouldn't let me have one! Then I noticed that one of the guys at work had one and I just had to get one of my own.
The back yard at work is slowly turning into the Thunder Club, once I pass we'll have 2 cats, 1 ace and I suppose we could even let the fazer lad join us if he brings cream cakes!

Re: Hello from sunny Newcastle
Hi Baz,
Welcome.
It sounds like you're running your own branch of the site at work. Don't hide us from the rest of them. I've just sent a batch of 'business cards' to R17Z (Steve) who said he keeps seeing loads of 'Cats about. Hopefully you'll be one of them very soon.
Good luck with the Mods. Passing is the best feeling ever! Once you're on the road take time to get to know your steed. The 'Cat is a very capable bike so treat it with respect until you get some miles under your belt. If you're up for it there's a meet Aug Bank Holiday weekend in E Yorkshire. Have a look in Something for the Weekend section.
All the best,
Chris

Hi, welcome all the best with the tests.
Think I eyed out the Thundercat 10 years before getting one, so was a 1 bike race when I decided to get back on 2 wheels

Re: Hello from sunny Newcastle
Hi and welcome to the madness, I too bought my cat before I passed my test back last November, as Steve said passing is the best feeling in the world, especially when you know you've got your reward waiting in the garage at home.
I remember some guy I went for my mod 2 with saying he was really relaxed about the test because it wasn't like it was life or death. I said speak for yourself mate I've got a gorgeous bike that's been sat waiting for me to pass the test for over a month, it IS life or death!!
Needless to say there actually was more on the line for me and I passed He was crap and failed with 3 majors and 7 minors.
Enjoy your tests, relax and think about the prize waiting at home for you
Keep us posted

R17Z I'm just over the water in South Shields so aye, I'll give you a shout when I pass mate.
Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcome. Can't wait to get off the drive, getting fairly bored of wheeling her out of the garage and riding back in!
