New Cat in sunny ol' Sussex
Hi All,
I'm 20 and just bought my first big bike. '97 Cat with Beowulf can, seat with attached cowl and after market seat fairings, and a black screen. Also got datatags and evo alarm for good measure (although I hear they can drive you nuts!)
Oh yeah and I got all the stock stuff and the stock and a micron can! All in all seems a pretty good deal!
Picking her up on Saturday and can't wait to get out on the road! Haven't ridden for a year since I sold my Suzuki Intruder 125! My bro has a bandit 600 and test rode the Cat and he only got to 30 an was grinning!
Nice to meet you all and hope to see you on the open road!

Re: New Cat in sunny ol' Sussex
I'll check it out thanks!
Haven't given her a name yet but she's the red and black front with white tail. The previous owner bought a pair of black tail fairings so its all red and black now So the same as littlecat's but with black at the back

Hi Stew,
Welcome to the site. I hope you find things friendly and helpful here.
Post up a pic of the bike as soon as you can.
Oh, and we're still recruiting for the Taste of Lincolnshire in Sept so if you fancy a group ride out come and join us.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: New Cat in sunny ol' Sussex
Hi Stewbacca
Welcome to the forum.
Good luck with the new bike.
I went from a bandit600 to the thundercat and although they are both 600's it was night and day.
Treat her with a lot of respect and get lots of experience.
Low speed control ( and emergency manouvres in a wide open space) in an industrial estate is well worth the effort and should do wonders for confidence.
Take it nice and easy (to start with at least)
Ride safe & Enjoy

Re: New Cat in sunny ol' Sussex
Picked up my lovely Cat yesterday and the ride is AMAZING!! corners are a breeze and it;s really responsive. Loving it!
I will post pics when I get a sunny afternoon so maybe today!
I did have a problem with leaking coolant but it seems the filler cap had come loose, and then I filled it too high so it was spewing out the overflow
