Cheap personalised ear plug/earphone solution experiment
First topic message reminder :
i like to listen to music when I'm out and about on 2 wheels and have tried a few various different options..
Different types of in ear (apple style) earphones which work well when they stay in but usually end up with one falling out halfway through the ride... For the past couple of years i have retrofitted a set of headphones which i basically chopped down and installed inside my lid..This works well but is not the best ,and pretty useless once you start hitting motorway speeds. so i've been researching other options...
Seems to me the best option is these personalised moulded ear phones which i know a couple of our fellow members already have, Terry lees and Chris eddie went for this option and swear by it.. It's an expensive option (in excess of £100) so i think i may have found an easy similar alternative which should cost about £20 - £30 max and be just as good.........(has a certain amount of DIY involved)
Watch this space.. Awaiting on a few bits arriving and will post up results and details if it works hopefully within a week.

Bugger... :(
Left one went well, but the right phone twisted sideways for some bizarre reason.
Ah, well £14 down the drain.. :(

Dave,
Do you have the link, I have done a search on Amazon for ProGuard and they are coming in at way over £100. You may have got a price blooper there!
After posting I found this site: junorecords

The megabucks entries I spotted include phones.

I can't believe I missed this, what's it like when you take your lid off?
I can put normal ear buds in and 90% of the time they stay exactly in place when putting the lid on but 90% of the time they move and hurt like hell when taking the lid off, what are these like?

After this weekend's BC I was thinking about this again. I might have a go with this - appears to be the same stuff as the earplug stuff, but significantly cheaper.
