The saga that is My Rear Suspension
Took it to Kais Performance to get it properly set up (or condemned) to find my worst fears realised, the shocker is shot, needs full strip down, re-oil, re-build and re-gas!! :(
On top of that the rear linkage is completely seized and will need to come off for a good clean and re-grease, bonus is they said they'd do the lot for £200 and that includes full personal set up after!!!
I've had several reports about thus company and everyone says they are some of the best in the business at what they do so I believe them when they say regardless of what I've been told about Yammy shockers, this'll be better than new when they've finished with it. He even talked me out of buying a new shocker ( and himself out of a sale) !!
Pick up my "new" bike Saturday morning all being well
Fingers crossed this is the end of my suspension woes

If it was seized as bad as mine it was rusted to bu66ery.
I've spent a small fortune on yammy bits.
Fingers crossed there is good news to come for you.

Not liking the sound of that Ross, hopefully the fact that I dropped the name of a friend who used to go racing with the shop owners father (it's a family business) might aid with discount button on the till.Rosco wrote:If it was seized as bad as mine it was rusted to bu66ery.

Fingers crossed it'll all be okay, and I'll be getting some suspension maintainance lessons off him as well

Yes I've learnt my lesson there on preventative maintenance.
