Re: Checking in from the WeeMac
Aye, my head was hanging off by that stage.
(I had mentioned I would be peeling off to Rosco and the TEC's. )
The mad shortcut I had to take to meet everyone, after sleeping in, didn't help: http://g.co/maps/g5bzy

Re: Checking in from the WeeMac
That's me, Rob and the bump home safe and sound after a brilliant weekend (and the bump didn't try to make his arrival on the way thankfully). Rob did all of the driving as staying up until 3.30am took it's toll on me and I slept most of the way so he had a peaceful journey.
Thank you to all for great company over the weekend and we are just sorry that neither of us got to enjoy the actual rideout.
We did see a couple of groups from the WeeMac, parked at the side of the road a while after we left the digs but didn't see any on the road except Panzerbuilder who we followed for a little while before he could overtake and disappear into the distance.
Linz, Rob and Bump
PS. Rob says "I thought sportsbikes were supposed to be faster than a Mondeo, especially as we were 2 and a half up and fully loaded lol

Re: Checking in from the WeeMac
That's me and my lot back safe and sound. Nice ride down in no hurry, couple of stops to fend off the cold and a beer when I got back. Loved this one, fantastic roads and really great craic. Many thanks for whoever sorted out the weather. Nice to get all four seasons on one ride.... As ever huge thanks to Ross for all the organising, Rob and Linz for the shopping in our absence and Chris for the wonderful spag bol. Look forward to seeing you all again soon..

Re: Checking in from the WeeMac
I got home safe and sound at 3:30, after a quick dip into the burger king at scotch corner.
Many thanks to Ross, Linz and Rob, chef Chris, and all of you that I met and rode with. Super weekend, which I hope will be repeated sometime soon.
Brilliant digs, food, weather, company, route and bike.
Now back home and getting the tea ready for when the family comes back from rugby.
A tired but very happy Rich.

Re: Checking in from the WeeMac
I don't envy some of you the long ride home, it was still a bit Baltic today as well.
Re: Checking in from the WeeMac
One bike back home safely, one safely en route as we speak on the back of a trailer....... full story to follow once Ellie has fended off her knights in shining armour from the RAC

Re: Checking in from the WeeMac
Back home, happy, safe, knackered, sun burnt & needing a new tyre lol.
Thanks for a cracking weekend Ross, the Broadmeadows was breathtaking.
Snow on the bikes this morning..
And thanks to Nick noticing a split in my rear tyre I had a warm ride home in a recovery truck. I was looking forward to the fit young recovery driver, but Steptoe & son turned up instead.....
Thanks Rob & Linz for the shopping and lovely to see everyone again. Roll on BC in 6 weeks.

Thanks for the heads up on that one Allan - We might incorporate that one in the future.
REALLY enjoyed this one.
What a venue!! Rideout was not too shabby either
Enjoyed meeting friends old and new. Some of them were really old
The craic was top notch as usual.
Enjoyment was the name of the game but the weather brought a bit of endurance.
Waking up on the Saturday with a text from Linz saying "look out of the window" and seeing horizontal snow wasn't exactly what I was hoping for but having a late start allowed the sun to come out and it managed the stay in control for most of the day albeit with a bit of rain, sleet, snow and hail thrown in.
The suicidal wildlife tried to move in on our rideout a few times but didn't spoil it as far as I know. The sheep hiding round the tight corner in the middle of my lane made the air smell a bit more 'country' for those following close behind me.
I've never header'ed a pheasant before and hope i never will but I nearly did.
Had there been a wildlife award I'm sure I was in with a shout.
Really glad the it was so enjoyable for so many, that the weather was kind enough and that we all returned safe and well and incident free.
Big thanks to Martin & Angela for finding the venue
Big thanks to Dianne for looking after us and her doggie Lottie for keeping us entertained.
Big thanks to the breakfast chefs and cleaners
Big thanks to Chris for the SpagBog
Big thanks to Rob'n'Linz for putting up with us when both of you were in fragile state's and for the shopping trips too.
Big thanks to my wife Tracey & her mum for the cakes & banana loaf.
Big thanks to the Tail End Charlie's (Martin&Angela, Davie, Chris & Chris ) who volunteered or were volunteered
Big thanks to DirtBikeDave & BillyW for helping with the recce.
If you enjoyed it half as much as I did then I enjoyed it twice as much as you.
Looking forward to an even bigger Wee Mac next year.
Cheers
Ross
ps. I'll sleep well tonight.

Re: Checking in from the WeeMac
Back home around 6:45; after a couple more fuel stops! One for me and one for the bike - before you all start
The run down was nippy and windy in places (damn those baked beans!), but, surprisingly, virtually dry all the way. The last section from Thirsk to home across the Humber Bridge (now toll free for bikes ) was brilliant sunshine and quickly covered.
A great Wee Mac. Incident free (apart from the 999 call to the boys in blue!) and memorable for the company, the venue (best ever!), the weather (changable) and the craic. Shame Ellie had to call for assistance, but at least, I hope, you had a nice warm trip to home.
Thanks to all who made it. To those for whom this was their first trip I hope you enjoyed yourselves - feedback always appreciated. And to Ross thanks for making all the arrangements and leading the rideout. What a trooper (YES, I still owe you £12 for the food!).
Here's to the next one
Chris

Re: Checking in from the WeeMac
Massive thanks to Ross et al for a great weekend, you've really raised the bar this time.
Enjoyed it immensely, back home safe and sound at about 4pm yesterday after a real nice (but chilly) run down.
Popped in to sort out Surf & Turf on the way, details soon. It's got a lot to live up to after Wee Mac!
