Hey up All
Hey all, Well suppose I'd better tell you a little about me, I'm Kev 36 from Ellesmere Port in Cheshire, just got into biking and currently doing my D.A.S, Passed Module One with no minors (stroke of luck), got module two next Wednesday (fingers crossed), anyway after weeks of looking at various bikes I made the decision to buy myself a Thundercat, Its a 96 with 32k on the clock and I'm collecting it on Saturday, I'm newish to the area I'm living in and looking to meet up with fellow bikers for a ride out or just a chat. I may have the Mrs with me if she braves the pillion role.
I've included a couple of pics, hope this is ok with the site mods etc...
Can't wait to get it home now.

Re: Hey up All
Hi Kev,
Welcome to the site and good luck with the Mod 2.
Sounds like Saturday is going to be a big day for you! I expect you be feeling suitably proud once you've got your hands on the 'cat. Treat her well and take time to get to know her - that's the fun bit.
Well, for chat you've now got this site. There's always someone on here who needs a good talking too - did I say that right? And I'm sure you'll find out who's local and if they're not local maybe you'll just have to have a ride-out to meet up with them
Hope you enjoy the bike. Let us know how you get on.
All the best,
Chris

Re: Hey up All
Hi Kev
Welcome to the site and good luck with the Mod 2, it's a lot less daunting than the mod 1 and if you've had any tuition at all even better, just treat it like another lesson with a different instructor, listen to what you're asked, plenty of shoulder checks and watch your speed. You'll smash it mate.
The tests are so recent in my mind as I'm new to biking also, passed back end of last year, my first bike a cat also, you'll love her, she's very forgiving and a great first bike to learn your craft on, as long as you ride within your limits, (and the laws of physics!!), she will always get you out of any trouble as she's very capable of fixing MOSTof your early errors.
Also I'm near Manchester so not a million miles away of you ever want to get out for a ride in the future.
Best of luck, keep us up to date with how you do and keep on the site, you'll find lots of banter and lots of intersting reads about ou new best friend!!

Re: Hey up All
Hi all spent a little time with the old polish today (2 hours), so thought I'd post a few extra pics up.....
I also have a question regarding the tank protector.. I want to replace it with a carbon effect one because the original is a horrible dull grey colour, and as been applies twisted, what's the best way to go about removing the old one and the sticky residue it leaves behind..
