Re: Easter Egg Run ~ Nottinghamshire Fire Service
Not a hunt ellie, give eggs (or a donation) for underprivileged kiddies. It was a good day ta. Hope you had an equally great day out yerself
Met cards (pete) at the firestation after the run, he got there before we did and bagged a spot at the front of the convoy.
I met up with the peeps from the East Mids RBLR and went from Nottingham to Mansfield all flags fluttering and waving in the breeze, but bringing up the rear riding shotgun. Managed to recruit pete into the ranks (I'll get you all in the end) Well done and Welcome Pete
After giving in the eggs, and my what an impressive chocolate mountain of eggs they managed, and having a look around at the stalls and stands there, We took advantage of the good weather and made for Matlock Bath via the twisty route .
Had a bit of an incident en-route, where pete went to overtake a pair of slow moving cars, only for mateyboy in car two to pull out without looking and attempt the overtake too . Pete was committed and had nowhere to go but the wee bitty bit of gap left on the extreme right of the road.
Fred at this point made a very apt hand signal, though I must admit to not having seen that particular one in the highway code
When we got there (Matlock) we bumped into littlecat (Kath) and had a bit of a chin wag as you do.
Did a bit of retail therapy and then home. I'm not bike fit, so I'm bushed now, but nothing a cool tube and the recorded WSB won't fix
Cheers

Re: Easter Egg Run ~ Nottinghamshire Fire Service
Sounds like fun! We did 200 ish miles round Lincs, including Caistor High Street, Revesby bends and the Lissington bends. Lovely day for it too.
If anyone's out and about in Lincs over the next 4 weeks there are apparently 40 unmarked cars/bikes from other forces patrolling looking for bikers.
