Meal arrangements will follow in due course but will most likely be in the same two excellent local pubs within walking distance of all accomodations in BC Town, I will do my best to book with a pub that has its own Micro Brewery attached.

Yes Ben, 8.45 outside the Boars Head on the main road in BC, Believe me you can't miss us lol, It will be great if you can make it & the road up through Hope Valley on your route is a cracker

I'd love to be in a position to snap up this space, but I still can't confirm whether I'll be coming along. If there are no other interested parties and IF I can make it, it would save me bringing the tent.

It's looking likely but there's a lot going on at home/work at the minute. If I do make it down, I'll probably have to leave at about 6am on the Sunday!

All fingers (and toes!) crossed, coz it's shaping up to be a great weekend. Good roads, company, weather, food, beer etc. etc. I'll be gutted if I miss out.

Hi Folks,

It has been a week of some serious soul searching

I'm affraid the time has come when a deal of thought has been forced on me as to whether meaningful distances are achievable on my bike anymore without painful payback as a consequence.
At the moment, and for the foreseeable future, sadly the answer is NO.

So . . . I'm affraid I'll not be joining you on the Bishops Castle ride this Saturday

I shall however, be joining you for the Friday & Saturday evenings social gatherings in support of the stirling efforts Nick & Ellie have put into organising the weekend, and of course to salute all in your efforts in supporting them too.
I'm sure we can work the logistics of getting me to the Boars Head to wave you off on the ride over a glass or two Friday evening.

I'm looking forward to sharing a couple of orange juices with you all

Not inna cage. But even so, it's the cumulative mileage over three consecutive days (there~ride-out~home), with no recovery in between is just not do-able mate. I'll explain over an OJ on fri

Either phone and let them know what time you'll be arriving, or when you get there just let them know you're part of the motorcycling group for the Fri & Sat night. Use my name if there's any confusion (Terry Walsh)
Last year they were pretty relaxed about payment. But as I've made the deposit, we can sort who pays what and how much to whom once we're all there. Cost pppn depends on whether Chris makes it or not.

I can make it! Will be leaving at around 3-4ish so should be down there about 6-7ish.

I'll take you up on the spare bed Terry if thats OK, so I dont need to lug the tent about.

09:00 and already 21C.... gonna melt.... but better than soaking! Just pottering around the house putting stuff in my luggage, Steve will be here in an hour or so, spot of lunch then we're on our way. I'm only packing shorts, so it'd better stay nice!
