Ducati for sale?
Looks like the equity company which owns Ducati is looking to sell. Possible buyers Mahindra or VW. I'm not which is more worrying, an Indian cheap and cheerful car maker or the German conglomerate whose chairman is reported as saying he 'drives' Ducati's.

Re: Ducati for sale?
I reckon merc/AMG will take it over, as there have been some odd ongoing ties with them for racing and road bikes from what I have seen and read.
Hopefully whoever buys it won't take anything away from a great motorcycling establishment

Re: Ducati for sale?
Mahindra, whilst they do make cars, are a global force in tractors, being world number one in terms of units sold. I've actually visited one of their production plants in Mumbai - it's not the last word in automated production but it was a surprisingly modern facility.
You could say the same of Tata and Jaguar/Land Rover (and Tetley Tea!) - they don't seem to have suffered.
I'd probably resist the VW approach more, for fear of removing character from the brand.
