Luckily, we have not made bikes run through an emissions inspection station as of yet, however, there are "add-ons" that are required on California bikes. There are all sorts of valves, lines, hoses and other stuff bolted right to the exhaust that make reaching the oil filter just a little bit harder.
Other than that, she still runs well and gets 50ish miles to the gallon. No complaints here.
