Help, my gloves smell!!!
Not sure if anyone can help, my gloves smell like ageing Parmesan cheese inside and I don't know what to do.
Does anyone have any tips for freshening then up, (and keeping them fresh). Otherwise despite the fact that they are only a couple of months old I'm going to have to bin them!!
(yes they are that bad!!)

Re: Help, my gloves smell!!!
Try putting bicardonate of soda in them overnight, then shaking it out in the morning.

Washing powder/liquid

Drop golves in squelch gloves for a few minute's
Rince with cold/warm water
Hang out to dry

Re: Help, my gloves smell!!!
Cheers for all your comments guys, just got back in from a ride and my hands smell like they've been in a marathon runners undies!! (well how I'd guess that'd smell) so I'll start with Davie's suggestion and work up from there, ending in a bonfire if all else fails

Re: Help, my gloves smell!!!
You could put them in the freezer. Sounds strange but the cold kills the bacteria that makes the smell.

Gone with this idea, good wash and then rinse yesterday and wrung out as thoroughly as I could, still absolutely dripping wet and I've no idea how long they'll take to dry but the positive seems to be the fact that they don't appear to smell any more

Re: Help, my gloves smell!!!
Always wash my hands. Only thing I remember was during a lesson it was cracking the flags and I was literally dripping with sweat, think this was the catalyst.

I favor anti-bacterial hand soap. It is mild, kills the bacteria, and any fragrence is usually not very strong.
Allow them to lay out after each use where they can dry quickly.

See, now that right there is your problem.
I suggest changing your ablution routine.
Once a month is more than enough and as for hand washing after using the toilet, this is why we are now so susceptible to viruses etc, extreme cleanliness.
