Had a great ride out on the cat yesterday and seemingly everything with me and the bike clicked, after crashing I think my confidence hit a bit of an all time low with my riding, but after yesterday its all back up, was swooshing through the corners and cliche or not I was at one with my machine. I now am starting to know how good a bike the Thundercat is green smile

I am sure not everyone will be fussed but I am that happy about it all Very Happy

It is great when that happens, sadly for me it's not every time I get aboard - makes those times when it does just that more special.
Does wonders for your confidence

It was, I enjoyed it very much, wouldn't of ever dream't of cornering at nearly 80mph on my old bike but on the cat was seemingly so easy Shocked

I had a novel experience earlier in the week.

One of the members of our forum was over from Argentina and I took him on a pillion run through Edinburgh.
Filtering in city traffic is a bloody nightmare with a fidgety/nervous passenger..I had to 'shimmy' my way through everything. grumpy

green smile

Just occurs: Mr Nutt?

You aren't a candle dribbler are you? lachen

That sounds more like a challenge than anything else! I like filtering when its just me but dont when I have a pillion, as if I get it wrong its just me nobody else on the bike possibly getting hurt.

Though filtering where there's loads of Bm's and Mercs is fun as most I come across try to cut me off by moving in or out cheeky sods just because you have a fancy badge on the bonnet doesnt mean yo can run me over for choosing a more superior mode of transport!! tongue

It's great to hear you're getting back your enthusiasm for riding and are back on the upward learning curve with the 'cat. Very Happy Keep going, but always be aware of not crossing the line from enthusiastic to irresponsible - I get the feeling you will know where that is Neutral

Don't think of those posh tin cans as being superior. When you're filtering past them in standing traffic they are most definitely not superior, just a very pricy couch on the highway!

Hope you can make one of our group ride-outs next year. I think you'd gain a lot from it.

indeed hopefully another cat will be amongst the ranks soon Very Happy

And to Chris, I agree and think that a group ride-out will be beneficial for me and my riding, I always try to stay on the enthusiastic side of things, problem with the cat is that once into that groove the speed just seems natural What a Face but appreciate that there is a time and a place for everything

as with the filtering I meant to say that I think the reason to pricey couches on wheels are jealous of our superior peice of 2 wheel transport Laughing

Wooster, this be my lack of years showing here, but I don't know what a candle dribbler is? and the Just occurs bit. Ok so I am probably now showing that being a youngen/yoof has put me at some disadvantge here Rolling Eyes

I'm pleased you are getting the same enjoyment I had from the 'cat.
The groove that you talk about doesn't always come naturally every time you jump on the bike so enjoy it when it happens old

Mr Nutt is a character in a Terry Pratchett book, I thought that's maybe where your Nick came from. Wink
