locks??
First topic message reminder :
ok, when on a weekend rideout, do any of you take locks etc for the bike, or do you have alarms or what ???
mine isnt alarmed, and the lock i use at home is too heavy and bulky to carry, so when out for the day i usually rely on the steering lock and the fact that its daylight.just not sure if that will be enough overnight away from home?

Re: locks??
With the boot on the cat you should be able to fit a big ass chain under the seat.
I had the alarm, the tool kit, the oxford monster chain and disklock under the seat.
I got this from Hein Gerike (or however you spell it) and the chain as a set when I got in to biking in 2005

I now just keep the disclock under the seat

Re: locks??
ahh, but bearing in mind the forecast, the space under my seat is taken up with very unflattering waterproofs

Re: locks??
Buy a small daysack and bung your waterproofs etc. in there.
(Bung the hard stuff like locks etc. under the seat)
