Re: as it snow where you are
What i WOULD like to know (in addition to the age old question 'how do snowplough drivers get to work' before someone else asks ) is 'why when the police say 'do not travel unless it's absolutely necessary' do they mean that for everyone else except their staff i've driven miles today

Coz if its anything like the NHS, (who are supposed to be a caring profession) they will expect 350% for their money!!!!!!

Snowmen and women have been popping up all over today. No buses, trams or trains. Think this one was created by the folk at Network Rail in the office car park

...........Of course I don't have my underwear. I'm definitely not wearing my underwear. Gotta get my boxer shorts at K-Mart.
It is Mc Ross jnr or Mc Callum to be precise. 4th Birthday this month too......He is a big boy for his age and loved making the snowman.

Re: as it snow where you are
It's been snowing where I am for about 2 months. I am laughing wholeheartedly reading reports of about the UK grinding to a halt because of a snow 'storm'.
PS - anyone want to borrow my snowblower? Or a 4wd vehicle? Or my skis?

What on earth is that, not like those things that blows leaves about is it?Schnorbitz wrote:

:o no thanks, seen a few sliding about and getting stuck! The small cars seemed to faire the best ( no wheel drive, no weight etc)Schnorbitz wrote:

What they like on ice and uneven surfaces? might like to try that thanks :bball:
An interesting walk / slide into work today
It is still snowing and the sun is out! Most of the snow sculptures have collapsed - not the same build quality as the Scottish snow people.
The snow woman in the car park is still 'standing' - testament to Network Rail engineering.
If getting to work in London isn't bad enough, the congestion charge is still being levied

"Mr Johnson praised those who turned up to work for helping to keep the capital moving and suspended the city's congestion charge scheme as a thank-you gesture." Quote from this article.
I even watched the news clip where the words bummbled from Jorris Bohnsons gob. Also said anyone charged that day would be receiving a re-fund.
Although I do wonder if the gesture extends to today as well ???
