Newbie in Plymouth
Hi everyone,
I got my Cat in October last year and have ridden her almost every day through the winter, including the snow where I spilled myself. No harm done, luckily fitted some cheap crash bungs which saved the bike!!
Spent a bit of time sorting out a few niggles, bought of E-bay for a grand, and have just had new fork seals and a service done. Bike feels so much better for it. The forum has been a great source of information to me and now having gained a bit of confidence am really looking forward to the summer riding.
The Plymouth Mega ride is coming up and I was wondering if there is anyone else going this year, I only passed my test in October so am looking forward to the first ride out. Hope to see some cats there.

Re: Newbie in Plymouth
Hi Doug welcome, well done for braving winter.
If you haven't already, take a look at 'Something for the Weekend' events, be good if you could make any of them.
There are a couple of 'Cats in your area so you might see some from here out and about.

Re: Newbie in Plymouth
Hi Doug
Welcome to the site.
Hats off (and crash bungs on) to you for riding through winter. Not as severe as up here I guess.....not many bikes out in nearly 2 ft of snow. How did she fair with all the road salt?
Hope the Mega ride goes well and you meet some cats & spread the word.
There might just be the odd one from here........Actually there are a few odd ones on here but hey ho!
Cheers
Rosco

Re: Newbie in Plymouth
Thanks for all the welcomes. The roads are good up on the moors. Lots of cameras though. 4 points and £360 testifies to that!!! Bloody mobile vans!
Rosco, she faired ok through the salt and I know what you mean about the snow up there. I'm from a bit further North than you. Born in Perterhead, Aberdeenshire. Don't think they know what a gritter is down here though.
I will definately be spreading the cat word. Too many K-whackers down here!
Doug.
