Top Yoke Conversion
Hi
Just thought I would pop a pic of something I have just got for my Cat,Its a MFW Top Yoke Conversion for a Thundercat so that I can put some straight bars in. Its properly made for the Cat and goes over the top of the existing yoke and bolts down with the two clip on socket head screws.
I luv the look of the originals, but it just does me neck and arms in on a long ride being an OLD FART at 52,and I just luv riding the Cat.
I got it off Flea Bay from a guy in Scotland and new they are £150,but I only paid half that. The guy I bought it from was first class and said if I needed any advice to just ring him.
Dont know whether to put flat drag bars on it or very, very low braced bars.
here's a pic of the yoke, and I will post some more when it's on the bike.
Steve

Re: Top Yoke Conversion
Yeh me too :( :(
The guy who I bought it off said it was fine with a set of drag bars and looking at the old bars today I should say it will be OK
But knowing my luck, someting is bound to go wrong or not be long enough!! (story off my life) that is

Re: Top Yoke Conversion
Hi Yamahamad
That's what I think I will end up doing
I will probaly keep them silver (Alloy) to go with the yoke.
I really like the standard bars but it just spoils the ride, because of my size I am a bit cramped up,but really enjoy the Thundercat to ride. I will probably end up swapping them back and forth all summer. If we have one next year
I am starting to sound like a moaning old git now!! That's what I needed.

Oi, non of that talk The thought of 'summer' is all that's going to keep me going for the next 4 months or so. The cold has just begun and I'm tired of it already :(StevieH wrote:... all summer. If we have one next year
Hope the bars work out OK without any headaches. Had you considered bar raisers?
