TEXT Language
Sorry to start this if it has already been done before, but does anyone else loath the use of text language? I'm afriad I am one of those that text with the full words (no Text Language). A mate of mine is of the same opinion as me.
As if they don't drive you up the wall enough the Mother-in-law texts in text language and it drives me mad!
I have worked with and have many gadgets (bit of a gadget junky) but just can't deal with the text issue!
Please let me know what you think
Cheers

Re: TEXT Language
No only joking. It takes me longer to think about what to convert it into than just type it in.
And it makes reading other folks messages too taxing on the brain.
Cheers

Re: TEXT Language
I'm a teacher. Most kids these days write text speak in their exercise books as a matter of course. Don't get me started on grammar - they've never heard of it.

Re: TEXT Language
Its long hand messaging for me. My daughter is always "dissin" me about my facebook posts. "Too long, not everyone wants to read a novel!"
But I guess its each to their own.

Re: TEXT Language
I tend to keep to 'OK', 'Yep' 'Nope' and 'fine'! I can't be bothered to type much else. Both my daughters use txt speak and I phone them to ask what on earth they are wittering on about!

Re: TEXT Language
OMG, wot u say is so true bruv lol Only kidding , I hate it too and I hate it when kids can't talk properly and include "like" every second word , I have three very young children and I'm banging it into their heads about the importance of being able to speak properly -it's the way forward- innit

Haha, foot in both camps here, sometimes use certain abbreviations, but generally try and stick to plain old long english, on lazy days would use more but, in all honesty i don't know what half of it means and often find myself googling cerain things just to understand, try and keep up with it to understand daughter, 4 nephews and niece but pretty much useless an always trying to instill the merits of correct english to my little princess who is always 'OMG dad'??!!
Mmmm sometimes age just catches up and places a size 10 right up ya jacksy!!!
