first viewing and trial of a CAT
going to see potentially my first big bike tomorrow.
gonna go check out a nice 1999 cat in black and silver at ESB motorcycles in Bolton, its £2000 and looks the nuts and very clean.
will give it a right good going over tomorrow afternoon. Im hoping to P/X my current bike in for a few hundred poonds.
check it out - Cat Link
i will obviously be letting you know if i get it, im hoping for £1600 with P/x and some haggling but will see.

Re: first viewing and trial of a CAT
Looks nice! It has had a paint job at some point, so make sure this was for aesthetic reasons and not following a big off.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Don't give in and keep on looking.
And what is wrong with the black and silver ones.
The're rarer and faster.....

Both of which, of course, are marginally slower than the Black/Silver/Gold ones

Hear Hear Paul, Black & Silver is far and away the best...
I always find wringing the throttle helps me go faster, more than the colour...
32 days until de-restriction time....woo hoo...

Re: first viewing and trial of a CAT
Yet I seem to go well beyond the speed limit without wringing anything must just be talent

and anyone who's heard Ezzy's will agree with that - plus i've found on quotes it makes no difference - the only reason i still have mine is i'm too tight to pay £80 to have it removed!

wellll
the latest viewing was a pile of absolute plop.
the bike was a dog, really tatty, lots of bodging and spraying.
i was not impressed to say the least. The seller told me it was mint. i could have punched him.
plenty more fish in the sea and all that.
im quiet kean to get an alarm cos i live in the armpit of the rat that is wrotting in the anus of manchester which worries me slightly.

Re: first viewing and trial of a CAT
pmsl - it could;ve been worse - my mate just bought an MV Augusta only when it got delivered it wasn't the bike he'd bought - he rang the dealers up to let them know they'd sent the wrong bike - they told him the picture they put on the ad wasn;t the bike he'd bought (no shit sherlock!! ) it was just to illustrate the ad! Needless to say trading standards are now involved

I'd rather get a dog, even a Labrador would be more effective than an alarm. I had my alarm taken out and just chain the bike up. Am also worried about some of the characters that walk past it.

oh year
i have bought the Cat!
very nice bike, goes well and is really mechanically sound.
has a few scratches and stuff but is to be expected. gonna spend a few hundred getting some paint work done then shes good to go.
so happy, been waiting for this day since i was about 12 years old, finally got a big bike.
hopefully will be hassling people all the time now about different bits and bobs.
