What a Plonker
Got the Blade mot'd, insured, alarm removed, serviced, all ready to go in fact. Cleaned and coated the leathers. Really looking forward to a good rideout.
Cycling to work last week, stupidly didn't look where I was going. Rode into a lampost, over the handlebars went I. Broke my arm. Almost ended up in the river exe which would have been interesting, not.
So, off work for another 2 weeks, wont be able to drive for another 2 weeks and won't be able to ride bike for about 3 - 4 weeks.
What a happy chap I am.
Oh yeah, that also rules out BC. Just keeps on getting better.
Like I said, what a plonker.

Oh, Tony!
Thought you'd told us you'd had the eyes done?
Maybe it's time to change your strap line to 'I wasn't born broken, but I am now!'
Seriously, I hope you mend right quick and we see you out and about asap.
Sorry you can't make BC. We'll have an extra drink to toast your recovery.
All the best,
Chris

Re: What a Plonker
So who's the idiot who put that lamp post in the middle of the road???
Have you ever been told to " stay away from the light !!"
Hope your arm mends aswell. ( thats the sensible thing out of the way )
Will you now be able to go to the Rugby final to watch your beloved team??
Or is it like Liverpools season, fallen flat....
By the way Tony, the day after Linz passed her bike test, we went to J&S in Doncaster, just for a tank bag.
Bought Linz a new Ninja 250r instead. Special edition colours aswell.
Just had it lowered and R&G crash bungs fitted.
Now she's as nervous as hell.
Take care of yourself now. Hopefully see you somewhere in this country this year.
Rob and Linz...

Re: What a Plonker
at espaceman3. Very good.
Well, the arm is getting better. It's been 2 weeks now and I've just gone back to work. The arm is still very sore and quite painful if I put it in the wrong position. Guess the best thing to do is not to put it in the wrong position.
Still not able to ride yet though. Nowhere near enough strength in the arm.
To answer Robs question - Yep, I can still go to watch Rugby. We are in the Play off Semi Finals this weekend against Bedford. If we get through that, which we should, then we will more than likely be playing Bristol, home and away, the team with the highest aggregate score gets promotion to the Guinness Premiership. Bring it on.
Thanks for all the good wishes. I'm hoping to make some rideouts this year.
