ngk spark plugs
Just thought i would share & hopefully save someone a few quid. I am going to replace the spark plugs as the current ones have been in 4 years now. I rang a yamaha dealer & they quoted £10.60 per plug . So i ring a place called s&j motorfactors they quoted £3.40 per plug & even offered to drop them off at work for me .

Re: ngk spark plugs
That is a really good price , cheaper than anything I've seen on ebay . Do you have their details ? Would be handy for future use .

Also , speaking of spark plugs ..are NGK the only park plugs suitable for the Cat ? It seems most bikes  use NGK.

Re: ngk spark plugs
I work for a Motorfactor and we supply NGK plugs, which are very good.
However, there are many other manufacturers of plugs that are just as good. Bosch, Champion also spring to mind. Most manufacturers will make plugs for the Cat, you just have to get them to cross the part number of the OE number of the Cat plug to their own brand.
It could pay to shop around, I certainly wouldn't stick with Yamaha plugs.

Re: ngk spark plugs
puuh - that is difficult for me to describe in english
They have a longer life, because they don't soot (?) so much (double durability).
The consumption is a little bit lower because of the better spark ignition.
With the iridium the behavior at starting the engine is better.
And of course - the price
8,75€ to 14,95€
Sorry - but technical english is not so easy :geek:
