VFR800, anyone had one ?
Anyone owned a VFR800 ?
Been fancying one for sometime now. I replaced my Thundercat with a Fireblade, but am looking now for a more comfortable ride.
Any thoughts

Re: VFR800, anyone had one ?
From what I've heard owners say, they're a lovely all rounder - which is exactly what they were designed to be. Depends on which model variant you plumb for. The ztech model can have a snatchy throttle response at slow/low revs and has a bit of a two stroke power band surge at an inconvenient speed/rev range, if memory serves from owner gripes.
If you do go for the ztech, make sure the 16000 (and subsequent big service) mile shim checks have been done.
Along with the Honda build quality you just need to do your due diligence research prior to purchase as with all used bikes. I'm sure you'll be viewing the user forums for all the relevant gen anyhow.
Remember though - whatever you end up doing/getting, don't be a stranger here buddy
Good hunting
Cheers

Thanks for that Oldcat. It confirms what I had heard. Still deciding which model.
Good to see the site is still going.
If anyone comes across my old Thundercat : Black Silver Gold W696GUG, post a photo......still miss it.
