New Thundercat in the works!
First topic message reminder :
And so it begins!
As you can see I have a frame, swing arm, front calipers (need rebuilding), rear caliper (needs rebuilding) and clutch cable.
The R6 5EB shock would require some major modification to fit the T'cat so that will be getting sold with the linkage to fund a replacement.

Chain and sprockets you want new, wouldn't go used on those, I have a set of ace forks but they are 50mm, I also have a radiator with fan I believe.

Re: New Thundercat in the works!
Work has begun!
Placing the parts together (not done up tight) to see what needs work.
The current swing arm in use is a holder as the other 1 is getting blasted and sprayed!
I've done more than the current pic shows but it started to rain so the cover has gone on and I forgot to take more pics because I'm stupid.
More updated to come tomorrow!

Re: New Thundercat in the works!
If you have the engine ready to go in I would say stick it in now before you get the front end on, then Jack it up to fit the front e.d, pain in the arse to do it other way round.

Re: New Thundercat in the works!
The front forks should be here by Tuesday latest, I'm tempted to put them on my bike tbh, they have progressive springs and have been looked after.
With the Engine I need to take out the old header bolts and put the new ones in but this should be done tomorrow/Sunday, hopefully!
Thanks for the tip about forks after the engine, I did want to put them on before, you saved me from a rookie mistake!

Just saves you having to lift, balance, line up and put bolts in all at the same time, it's a job and a half believe me lol

Re: New Thundercat in the works!
Been busy and made progress on the 2nd Tcat, also the missus tried with the lowering kit......she still can't reach the ground with either foot so she said I can have it and use it as a dedicated Track Bike!
Engine is still in the works with the header bolts but it's getting there, and atm this is only put together to see what I have / don't have. Whole thing is going to get blasted and powered coated
