Dark side?.............
After a rather troublesome eighteen months with the MV it's now gone to a new home & I hope whoever buys it from the dealer has better luck with it than I did, It was a very bittersweet moment but 100% the right decision under the circumstances.
I'd always promised myself I'd not keep it outside of the two year warranty period, That always meant moving it on later this summer & l'd been looking around at what I might replace it with (If anything?) to run alongside the old Exup.
Anyway I decided to buy a ride on lawn mower..

Re: Dark side?.............
You really bought one?? I'm really interested in giving one of these a go to be honest. I've heard they are quite fun. Can't find any dealers near me though so I'm waiting for them to fmgo to one of the big bike shows.
Re: Dark side?.............
There's only a handful of dealers in the UK & I spoke to a couple of them,
158 Performance isn't too far from you?
The guys there seem great & a test ride wasn't an issue, It's certainly going to take a while to get used to its riding technique.

Re: Dark side?.............
I always thought you were too big for two wheels Nick so this is a step in the right direction
No driving/riding like this now
Enjoy

Perhaps you thought you knew me too well
She is a 1330 Rotax inline triple running 115bhp so it's nippy but it's also got a bit of added weight (cue the jokes!) but I'm not really looking at it as a straight replacement as it's quite different to ride etc, like a quad with a wheel missing ( I sometimes think I have something missing too)

Re: Dark side?.............
Is it anything like riding a conventional (2 back 1 front wheeled) trike?
I'll have a look at that place you mentioned. My old man rides trikes and is really interested in one of these as they seem like they would be more like riding a bike than a normal trike?
I can imagine the performance is on par with something like a 600 hornet/bandit maybe? Or is it a bit better than that?

@ Dudeofrude I wouldn't know the answer to either of those questions unfortunately,
It appears Can-Am claim 0-60 in 4.8 seconds so it's not going to set the world alight

Sounds a bit wankel'y
Is it shaft drive too?
Have you managed to get it up yet?
Seriously though....I want a backie (maybe even a wee shot)
If you can't wheelie with my fat airse on the back there must be something wrong.
Out of interest what license / insurance / tax does it come under?

Re: Dark side?.............
Belt drive, I'm told it's possible to get one wheel off the ground but not two, It can be ridden on a car licence but not sure if you'd get insurance as only one underwriter will insure them currently, it's listed as a trike on the insurance & falls under a bike policy.
And if you're daft enough you don't need a lid by law
