n00b saying hello
Hello everyone.
Passed DAS in July having never ridden a bike before (20 yrs in a tin box instead). Read all the magazines, reviews and forums and decided I wanted this bike ( and not a CBR600F ) and so a couple of weeks ago I picked up a deep red '99 Cat. Loving this bike and now trying to become 'one' with it ( and wishing there were more minutes in the day to ride/clean it). Also going to use it as a project over the winter when I start on bike maintenance classes in September.

Hi,
Welcome to the site and congratulations on passing your test.
Another discerning motorcycle buyer! Well done on acquiring a 'cat. Hope you get on together - it'll be a journey you'd wished you'd started sooner
Let us know how you get on and a name would be great. 'Unsafe' is fine as a site name, I think :rite: but until we have evidence it should be the primary way you're referred to a 'real' name would be useful :lol3:
Oh and post up a pick of the bike if you have one.
Chris

Thanks for the warm welcome.
At the moment this is my 'other woman' .
I'm on the lookout for new bits at the moment. Some braided brake hoses, a CF fender extender and a better headlamp bulb would be nice. As would locating a good mechanic in the S. Manchester area who knows a thing or two about these bikes for advice ....
