That sort of reportage annoys me.
Are they implying we should furnish our Police Force with Rolls Royce's?
I might be a bit touchy here, but this is a 'non story', as long as the cars are serviceable and fit for purpose, there is no issue. (I've worked with worse)

..I have no doubt that if the fleet was replaced in its entirety, the headlines would be equally critical. i.e."Cops waste cash on luxury reliable cars!!"
