That sort of reportage annoys me.
Are they implying we should furnish our Police Force with Rolls Royce's?
I might be a bit touchy here, but this is a 'non story', as long as the cars are serviceable and fit for purpose, there is no issue. (I've worked with worse)

To those of you who know the first part of the old shaggy dog story, which is probably unrepeatable here, the punchline - "The Regiment's decided to have it repaired" - seems very appropriate.
