Surf and turf fallout
During the Surf and turf I was aware, too late, of a static camera and this morning the proof that it was active arrived. All my own fault and have to hold my hands up and possibly lessen the right hand grip next time.
The day then continued in a similar vein when, after gently laughing at Ross for his alleged diesel infraction at the weekend, I put petrol in my diesel on route to a wedding.
Cue two hour wait for the aa bloke to remove the wasted fuel and also lighten my wallet somewhat.
What a total tanker I have been, very fuelish, now getting back to my old elf and my bp is near normal.

Re: Surf and turf fallout
That's crap Billy.
Where was the camera? I'm wondering if I will have some equally good news for the weekend...
I trust it wasn't your own wedding? That's the sort of thing that could probably land you in bother.

Re: Surf and turf fallout
It's a kick in the stones getting one of those through.
You have my sympathies.
I've also done the wrong fuel thing myself, last year.
60 litres of petrol (almost a full tank) in my diesel car because I distracted myself by looking at a woman when I picked up the (wrong) pump handle.
One mile down the road...chuggity chuggity chuggity..clonk!

Re: Surf and turf fallout
Sorry to hear about the heavy thud through the letterbox Billy.
Fingers crossed it won't be too expensive.
Maybe you'll get an option for the speed awareness course.
As for the wrong fuel.......
Only complete numpties do this Billy.
Like Wooster I got distracted (by a motorbike) coming into an empty forecourt (bar me and my very nearly dry car).
I noticed as soon as I replaced the pump that it should have been diesel I put into my diesel car and not the green thing I had in my hand. Mr nice AA man came to the rescue and my company paid for it.
Thank goodness for company fuel card and effectively I got double clubcard points.
Can't possibly comment on my bikes oily smell and roughness recently.

Re: Surf and turf fallout
You should rename this thread 'The numpty point self-nomination thread'.
Or perhaps just 'Scottish numpties' for short...

Re: Surf and turf fallout
Wrong fuel is nothing.
A couple of weeks ago I dug out my MOT certificate because I figured it was due around now.
It wasn't due around now at all, it was due at the start of July..
I figure I must have been thinking of my last car.
I'd also done the best part of 10,000 miles since then and passed god knows how many VCP's.
