New Bike
So it's finally come to that time, The thundercat is going
It's movingredients on to (hopefully) greener pastures to make way for my new beast...
...
..
A 2007 Yamaha FZ1 Abarth!!
Got it for a good price and the dealer gave me a surprisingly good trade in offer so next week I take delivery.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves

Needless to say I'm like a kid at Christmas at the minute haha

Re: New Bike
Thanks guys and yeah it's my first naked bike so hopefully I'll get on with it.
There's tons of extras, the last owner must have spent 1000s on it. Here the list from the website;
AKRAPOVIC EXHAUST, MCT SUSPENSION INTERNALS, POWDER COATED WHEELS AND FORKS, SOLO SEAT POD, WAVEY DISCS, RIZOMA BARS, RIZOMA GRIPS, RIZOMA MIRRORS, HYPERPRO STEERING DAMPER, R&G CRASH BUNGS, CARBON REAR HUGGER AND RENTHAL GOLD SPROCKET
Delivery had just been confirmed for Monday so I've just gotta try and sleep for the next 2 nights haha

Re: New Bike
Thanks radar I always enjoy your write ups :-)
Well it was delivered today at lunchtime and the Thundercat was taken, I was rather sad to see it go. Especially seeing as it was my first big bike but after turning the key on the Fz1 and seeing all the fancy dash illuminate, I quickly got over it haha
I've just taken her out for a 100mile round trip and it was a bit of a learning curve but it is one hell of a beast! The torque was a pleasure to play with but I've yet to open her up properly, both because I'm getting used to the power and riding a naked.
It's definitely a step beyond the thundercat capabilities and I do feel that once I'm comfortable with it I will need twice the restrain to ride it legally haha
Needless to say I'm very pleased with the change but I will still miss my thundercat, it was a great first bike.

Re: New Bike
Cheers Ross, it is a beast.
Still can't help feeling a little sad knowing the thundercat is gone.
I just hope it's in good hands (better than mine anyway haha)
