What top box?
I hate them. But needs must i 'spose.
What top boxes would folks here recommend for a 97 'cat? Not fitted one before but i assume i just need a rack to fit and then look for a second hand box to fit that rack yes?

Re: What top box?
I have a Nonfango rack and topbox; these are pretty rare - the Givi stuff is more common. Make sure you get one that will hold your helmet as it is invaluable to be able to leave your lid with the bike.
Rack fitting is pretty straightforward.
I'd start on eBay and the like looking for second-hand stuff. You might get a rack and box together, or, as you say, fit the rack then take your pick from the boxes available. The racks are model-specific.

A magnetic tank bag is another cheapish option. Lidl used to do a decent one, and in fact I still use mine, though I've not seen them for a while.

Re: What top box?
Another option might be a roll-bag and luggage net? Something like the Lomo bags, which come highly recommended and are incredible value for money. Not as secure as a topbox but also not as permanent an eyesore.
