Absolute bargain! Usually I use Silkolene Pro 4 Plus and the cheapest I can get it is £45!

Good shout Dave! It's the right spec for the race bike too so I've just bought a years worth for both bikes :-)

There's 4 left at the minute.

Seems to be 9 left now?? I just ordered some, I've only just done the oil but this will do me for 2 more with what I have left. That is as long as it's ok to mix 10w40 with 10w50?
also I'm assuming the 10w50 will be alright in the thundercat?

Not sure 10W-50 is specifically recommended, but it'll no doubt be OK. It'll mix ok with anything else you have.

It should be noted its fully synthetic aswell. I seem to remember somewhere about whether this is compatible. Sorry if this is a dampener.
Maybe it was just the cost of fully synthetic on a bike as old as the 'cat

There's no issue with it being fully synthetic. It is an overkill for a road-going Cat, but not a problem. You can mix it with any other engine oil too (except some very rare types).

They are under no obligation to honour a mistaken pricing.  They must honour it if they have accepted or confirmed your order (rather than acknowledged it).  Once the order is accepted/confirmed (usually meaning you have an order number) then a contract has formed which both parties must fulfill.  Until then, all that has happened is you have made an offer for the goods (based on their suggested selling price) which has yet to be agreed.

Many places will honour it by way of good will, but this is their choice.

Mega deal on oil - Amazon Empty Re: Mega deal on oil - Amazon

Post  Eddie990 Wed May 27 2015, 14:52

I ordered 20 ltrs. Had an email off Amazon yesterday confirming the order and an email from MOTO-OIL this morning saying it had been dispatched. Following that I had another email asking for an additional £10 for shipping (to my Shetland address) so I replied saying that was fine and asking about payment method. They responded explaining they had made a pricing mistake and asking if I still wanted 20 ltrs at £12.27 per ltr or a full refund. I replied I'd rather have a refund.

It would have been a total bargain but I'm not bothered enough to go quoting consumer laws etc.

Hi Tom

As far as you were concerned you were buying 4 litres and that is what you ordered.

They haven't sent you what you ordered and paid for so you should be able to report it and get them to sort it out.

Since it will be quite a hassle and expense for them to collect it from you they might just refund you and let you keep it.

I'd definitely take it up with Amazon.

Good Luck

I haven't received my order yet as far as I know. I am away at work so the missus is keeping an eye out for it and will let me know when it arrives.
I ordered 2 lots so will see if I get 2 Ltrs or 8 Ltrs.
The ad clearly states the original price and the discounted price with 81% discount noted in the ad.
If I don't receive what I've paid for I shall be taking it up with Amazon.
The ad is still live at that price. Have taken a screenshot for proof before they take it down.

Post  Robcat Wed May 27 2015, 21:21

They should honour it as I just bought 3 bottles and then read further down this post, then thought, Ey Ey !!

Had an issue with the site ' Tyreleader' too recently. Advertised Bridgestone T30 EVO 180/55/17 tyres at £ 56.98 each , so I bought 2 and a front ( which was £76). Lots of stock but had an email from them the day after saying the front had been despatched but out of stock on the rears. All of a sudden, the price had bumped up to £96.something each, with medium stock levels.

Tried cancelling the front tyre but it arrived 2 days later.

So now my stock of tyres is, a rear 023, a T30 evo front and a pair of normal T 30's ( which are getting fitted in a couple of weeks time)
