powder coated calipers/ productive day
Finally got my bike back on the road today after waiting a week for the powder coaters to do their magic.

Caliper looks mint especially compared to before when it hardly had any paint left on it at all.
So got that back on the bike with full set of new seals and a new shiney braided hose (care of stevecat, many thanks)
Then turned my attention to the front and swapped over all the front pads ready for its mot. All good except 1 dust seal which popped but I can live without that for the time being.
Then seeing as things were on a roll I tackled my downpipes and fitted my stainless ones.

Sounds so ooo ooo much better especially with the baffle out
So all in all a productive day

Re: powder coated calipers/ productive day
Slight annoyance, I was out on the bike today and the front brake has started to squeak a low speeds. I'm hoping it's because I never copper greased the rear of the pads but I think they might be rubbing a bit too, which is strange because they weren't before I swapped the pads?
They work brilliantly so it's still safe, just annoying at the minute

Pads probably just need bedding in... just use the rear frequently and it should go away.
Nice job with the pipes, the caliper does look mint!

Re: powder coated calipers/ productive day
Thanks guys, the pads have stopped speaking today but they are still rubbing very audibly when you push it around.
I stripped the pads out again earlier to have a nose at the pistons and they are all moving freely and I was able to push them back in by hand so I know it's not them.
hopefully as mrfrance said they just need bedding in.
MOT is on Tuesday anyway so I'll know if they're alright

Well it passed without so much as an advisory so obviously the brakes aren't a problem didn't even have the baffle in either haha
