touch up paint
Attempted to touch up a deep scratch on my fairing but made a right dogs dinner of sanding it down after.
After a trip to halfords and a speculative question they matched VRC 1 colour in an aerosol for 15 quid for 300ml.
Last few sunny days perfect temp to try it out
Colour match even on the dreaded red is great, now my question is. Sand it down with 3000 wet and dry and polish it up or get some laqueur or polish it and then laqueur.
I think it's plain cellouse paint!!!

Sand with 2000 wet and dry and then lacquer then polish. Leave paint to lacquer to harden for at least 48hrs then polish

Re: touch up paint
So I don't need to polish prior to laqueuring!
Glossing is as far as my painting goes

Re: touch up paint
No if you polish then the lacquer won't stick too well. Needs a bit of roughness to help adhere to.
