Taste of Lincolnshire 2015 (ToL 12)
Hi folks,
The ride-out section is filling out nicely this year.
This years ToL is set for the Friday 4th September to Sunday 6th September based once again at The Village Limits in Woodhall Spa just 20 miles East of Lincoln.
The format will be, as usual:
Accommodation is available at the venue. I've booked 4 twin rooms for the Friday and Saturday nights, so please contact me if you want one of these. First come first served. A £10 non-refundable deposit is required per person per night. Rooms are £42.50 pppn including breakfast. There is a range of other accommodation available in Woodhall Spa: hotels, B&B's and camping. I'll post up details soon.
If you haven't made it to ToL before you are most welcome to join us for a route around the open, twisty and sometimes hilly roads of the Lincolnshire Wolds and beyond. I hope you'll find it doesn't meet your preconceptions. For those who have been before I hope you can join us again.
It seems a long time to September, but it'll be here before you know it!
Post up if you can make it - over-nighters, day riders, pillions and non-rider are all welcome.
Post up any questions.
See you in September.
Cheers,
Chris

Leaving nice and early to get there for the rideout on Saturday and I'm also happy to TEC.
Re: Taste of Lincolnshire 2015 - ToL XII
TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY MILES??!
For one thing this means I will have to refuel during the day. Of more concern though, since I lost all that weight my saddle isn't as comfortable as it was - lost some padding in that area y'see.
I guess with these two factors I may get an insight into Ducati ownership though.

Don't worry Paul. This is the Taste of Lincolnshire. You'll have plenty of opportunities to work on your padding!

Thanks Lone'cat,
Been a good day nearly back at the venue. Weather got better and better. Some traffic, some good open roads, joined the cycle stage of a local triathlon! We were much faster than them
More posts to follow.
Cheers,
Chris

Home Safe and Sound
Great Weekend, 'twas good to re-meet some long not seen friends, meet fresh faces and hook up with familiar buddies too.
As always, an excellently planed and executed ToL by Chris (GreenCat), and crew, without whom weekenders such as this would not happen . . .
Thank You so much for your time, dedication and attention to detail.
Cheers

We arrived home at 12.40 am this morning after joining the group for the evening festivities. It was lovely to catch up with everyone again (and I am just sorry that I had to miss out on the actual rideout). Rob thoroughly enjoyed the ride out aswell as the evening and Ewan enjoyed the company of the members of the group as always.
Can't wait until the next meet up (probably the bike show).
Linz, Rob and Ewan

Echo the sentiments as above - fantastic route, food, company, weather....
Thanks Chris, Pete and lovely to see Big Nige again (even if he can't behave himself ...)

Now for some R&R!
See y'all soon xx

Re: Taste of Lincolnshire 2015 - ToL XII
I'm home safe too.
Again, huge thanks to Chris for organising and Pete for TECing.
Great to meet up with chaps (and chapesses) old and new, and to reaffirm some long standing friendships.
A blindingly good route, allowing me to pop my Humber Bridge cherry, a little bit of which I did again on my way home today
A long soak awaits me, I think....

Re: Taste of Lincolnshire 2015 - ToL XII
Its been a while but this excellent weekend reminds me how great these Thundercats weekends are and what I've missed recently.
(don't know if its been spotted I've never actually owned one?)
It's been a while, so truly brilliant to catch up with old friends, fortunately I think I managed to keep a low profile on this one.
Huge thanks to Chis & Pete for the ride an outstanding route, great planning of stops & venues.
Thanks for all putting up with me bimbling - 59bhp & 15.5 stone not a progressive combination.
Home Via Revesby bends in about 45mins, Unpacked, washer on, bike washed and Lawns cut.
Thanks again Guys - outstanding!

And that's me home! Great weekend all round, topped off with a little Ducati test ride! Ride home was fantastic too... dry, clear roads, no pressure... feeling very content right now.

Home too.
Thanks for all the comments - good, bad, sensible and incoherent :-)
Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend especially the company, and the food and the Lincolnshire roads!
Right time to cut my grass. Gorgeous afternoon. Might have to go out again later :-)
Hope to see you all again soon.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Taste of Lincolnshire 2015 - ToL XII
So now everything electronic I took with me is back on charge (Sena headset, rear camera, helmet camera, phone, power bank, etc).
I'll get round to reviewing the video footage at some point, and therein lies a couple of quick questions:
- Does anyone want their face and / or number plate blurred out of any videos I do? (Which will ultimately get uploaded to my channel on YouTube)
- Does anyone object to me 'borrowing' any of their photos published on Facebook or this site for use in aforementioned video?
Ta...!
