Hi from Devon
Hey there,
I'm a newbie rider. I'm a little lost in it all at the moment and just getting to some kind of grips with my bike (we have a lot of learning to do together) but I hope that as I build my confidence and knowledge in my riding and little girl's capability then I'll end up meeting and greeting some of you on the road.

Re: Hi from Devon
I'm North Devon, just outside Bideford.
Being here is like being permanently on holiday....and now I'm starting to learn that we have amazing roads too .
Where did you go on holiday?

Re: Hi from Devon
Hi and thanks, Cats really are a great choice, I had a tonne of advice before I got her and to be honest I was looking at cbr's but I scrolled down a website, saw her and next day drove to Bristol to buy her,it was obvious when I saw her. She's a good solid bike with a very playful spirit. Can see me and her being play mates for a long while.

Re: Hi from Devon
Hi, welcome, I'm sure you and the bike will get properly acquainted fairly quickly.
Yes, you do have some lovely roads around your way - I'd stay away from Porlock Hill for the time being though

hi and welcome!
once you've started to ride the bike more often you'll relax and settle into it all.
the sites full of useful info and help and there's never a stupid question

Re: Hi from Devon
Stevecat, you're so right. Porlock hill is horrid enough in a car, my Daisy would have a minor fit if I took her there!

Re: Hi from Devon
Welcome DaisyChainÂ
I picked the Cat as my 1st bike too. Apart from a couple of hours of fun on Saturday morning with the immobiliser and a soldering iron, she's never put a foot wrong. Which is more than can be said for me....
Have fun learning, I know I do.

Re: Hi from Devon
Hi FatCat,
I'm starting to think I've made an awesome choice in bike, not many people have a bad word to say about them. It also sounds like you had way too much fun if you got to play with a soldering iron. Is there no end to the joy a bike can bring

Re: Hi from Devon
Love mine, had it nearly 15 years. It has seen several other bikes come and go over the years!
Only problem has been a snapped speedo cable...

Re: Hi from Devon
DaisyChain. As others have said "hope you enjoy your time at yamahathundercats.org"
The place is a mine of information.
You're not the only mechanically challenged member on here . . . if you ever see me with a spanner in my hand . . . Run for cover !
