Furthest North South East West
Just wondering what's the furthest North, South, East and West any member has taken a Thundercat. Photographic proof may be required.

Re: Furthest North South East West
I think the Southern one can be beaten some 's have been to Spain.
My furthest North is Rousey, Orkney's. to map
West, I think, is Clifden, Ireland (but at least Galway)
East, not that adventurous, is Spittal in Austria.

Re: Furthest North South East West
Furthest west for me is pretty much most of wales and welsh coast as thats my playground. East is TOL 2013. Try not to go south or north as theres some unlikely characters on bikes.....lol
But doing lakes next year for a long trip. Not very adventurous I know..... lol

Re: Furthest North South East West
I've ridden a bike in peru, the sacred valley to machu pichu. so that could be west or a very very long way east....
though wasn't on my own bike I must add! as good as the cat is, rutted mountain trails and roads aren't something I'd want to do on it!

Re: Furthest North South East West
My personal extremes:
North: somewhere in the East Riding, courtesy of a ToL ride-out
East: Kelbra, former East Germany, courtesy of a Thundercats.de rideout
South: Cochem, Germany, courtesy of another Thundercats.de ride-out
West: possible tie between Dartmoor (courtesy of the Thundercats Exeter ride-out) and Tywyn (courtesy of a BC ride-out).
Not that extreme, I agree. Notice any theme...?!

Re: Furthest North South East West
I think Christian wins this hands down, although he wasn't on a cat, but his trusty 650 GS. About 4 years ago he went round the world east to west, and last winter took himself down to Cape Town.

Re: Furthest North South East West
Very interesting how far members have travelled and where. I've done a bit, but mostly on a Suzuki SV650.
Stevecat has certainly travelled.
Good suggestion from Kwakkat, Assen would be good.

Re: Furthest North South East West
Having previously stated earlier in this thread having not been adventurous and travelling far. I have been offered opportunity to ride and tour the Jura mountains in the French Swiss border this coming may.
What an opportunity. Time to consider to do it and pros and cons.

Thanks Have racked up quite a few km's on SteveCat 1, about a hundred thou (km's) on that bike, was a time when a suggestion was made I ought to change my site name to smiles. Not because of my facial expressions , SteveCat 2 has been let of lightly.
Furthest South I've done, not on a Thundercat is Cape Town on a Suz 1000G, not sure if I also have done it on a Yam 650 turbo, but did at least do Port Elizabeth - not from the UK, I'll hasten to add, I was living in South Africa at the time.
