I'm back on the road!

So much for "the bike will need a fair bit of TLC before she's back on the road"... I had a quiet day at work so I sorted some insurance online, slipped off at lunchtime and took her for an MOT. Just to figure out what it needed, you know?

Well she sailed through, not even an advisory - tough as old boots, these bikes, aren't they!? - so I popped into the Post Office on the way home and bought a tax disc too. And then, as I was all legal, took about a 70 mile detour to go the long way home. Now I'm all sorted for what's left of the summer! I feel really rusty on the bike but it's starting to come back to me. Not sure I'm comfy enough for a last-minute dash to Bishop's Castle, unfortunately.

Leathers are still a squeeze though - no more pies for a while!

I'm just annoyed with myself for not doing it sooner. Especially now I'm old and it's a lot cheaper to keep the bike and the car both insured

Yup, still in Swindon. Can't get out of work until 4, unfortunately :(

Ahhh, umm we'd have passed there by then, but Weasley might be going that way - think he mentioned the time and route he was taking, he leaving later in the afternoon.

Nah I don't think I have the concentration/stamina for a BC just yet. Which is gutting, but c'est la vie.

Glad you got bike sorted!! Would have been good to see you at BC again, must be 3 years ago now? It was my first one that I met with you and Steve on the way up
