I live less than 20 miles from here, and ride the road quite regularly. The tour de France will be taking this route in July, consequently the local authority have resurfaced a lot of it making it veeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrryyyyy very good. Pretty good chance I will include this and other parts of the R D F in one of my routes for surf & turf this year. What a plug! Come on you lot, get your names down.

well what a fantastic rideout today some of the best roads ive ever been on started in York-ripon-masham-leyburn-reeth-buttertubs pass-hawes-grassington-pateley bridge-ripon-boroughbridge-York.
almost 200 miles of riding heaven and the weather was perfect as were the brews and fodder just 4 of us fred on his tdm andy on his zx12 and the frustrated james on his 350xl which was a pain because it needs super unleaded and they had none in leyburn so a trip to the hardware store for a hosepipe and jug to give him some of andys but still the xl was the fastest bike round the bendy stuff all day not bad for a 30 year old trial bike.
