Surf & Turf - Accommodation Issues

Folks,

When I was last home I took a spin up to Reeth to try and organise accommodation.

Due to lack of uptake we've missed out on the YHA at Grinton, they needed a minimum of 16 to accept/confirm a group booking and are now fully booked on the Fri and have very few spaces on the Sat.

The Dales Bike Centre which was 'Plan B' is also almost fully booked and doesn't have space for us.

Plan C was the Three Tuns in Thirsk (JDWetherspoons Inn) but it has very limited availability too

  

We're having to rethink the location and accommodation arrangements, hopefully we can get our heads together and collect a few thoughts/opinions at WeeMac to book something up after. Details to follow.....

We can do  defo Saturday night but haven't quite sorted a sitter for Friday night but we're working on it.

Is camping available local?

Hi Kev, I live about a mile fro the Golden Lion in Leyburn, and just across the road from me is a pub called The Pheasant. They have a caravan site, and allow camping. I'll pop across today and enquire cost and availability. I know "catapulted and his mate Darren" stayed there a few years ago.

Hi Kev, just popped across the road to the Pheasant. Yes, they have got space for both nights, or just one, if you prefer. £i10.00 per night per person. Toilet and shower facilities on sight.

Right Kev, That's you booked into the campsite for the 2 nights. Chicken Tim is staying with me, for the two nights, so we can all go up to Leyburn together, and either all wobble our way back together, or I'll organise some transport. Come you lot get your names down.

Hey terry I've posted on other s&t discussion but I will put it here too. I'm waiting on a colleague to confirm he can work my Saturday, if so me & a mate are coming & will stay at red lion Saturday night.

hi terry just to confirm my colleague has agreed to work my Saturday so my mate Danny & myself are in. Do we need to ring the golden lion & pay for room for the Saturday night or just pay when we are there?
