New member from York
Hi All, I'm Lee and I'm from York.
Just bought my first bike today, a 1996 with 22k on the clock.
Looking forward to getting her here and getting out there and learning my craft. I passed my test about a month ago.
Hope I've bought well and will have an enjoyable & safe summer.

Hi Lee, and welcome! Good choice of steed for a first bike, swift, nimble, light and can do pretty much all what biking can throw at it!
It'd be good to see your new machine, so get some pictures up here and show her off!

Re: New member from York
Welcome Lee! A great choice of steed indeed. Mines a 96 model, and I love it to bits,
as I'm sure you will too. And yeah, throw up some pics when you get the chance.
Hope to see you around.

That's not fair, Rosco doesn't throw anything at his: not water, not cleaning products....

Re: New member from York
Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
Looking forward to getting my new whip, hopefully will be with me tomorrow evening as the seller has kindly agreed to ride it over to me from Bolton to York.
Seems the bike is already known to a few people.
https://www.yamaha-thundercats.org/t6986-thundercat-project
It's ideal for me as it is not cosmetically perfect (I'm a novice rider and will most likely have a stupid moment at some point - hopefully when moving it about rather than throwing it down the road ) but the mechanicals and usual sources of grief appear to have been taken care of by Scott. I certainly could not have bought a munter and got it back to this stage for the money I have paid for it.

Hi Lee,
Welcome to the site and congratulations on picking up a 'cat. You look pretty pleased with it.
Take your time to get to know your steed and I'm sure you'll have a great time to boot!
With a bit of luck we'll have a cracking summer and you'll meet up with some of the group on one of the rideouts. Check out the Something for the Weekend section.
Cheers,
Chris
