Race Spec Thundercat
Has anyone made any big performance enhancing mods to their bikes? I'm hoping to get a quick shifter and various other bits. Different Sprockets etc
What would people suggest? Sprockets should be fitted next week. Needed more acceleration The bandit 12 jump was abit much for me haha

Re: Race Spec Thundercat
Up 1 tooth on the rear sprocket and down 1 or 2 on the front will improve acceleration, but knock back your top end speed, and will make your speedo read inaccurate.
Stage 1 & 2 tuning . . . carb re-jetting, free flow exhaust, head skim, polished valves and high lift cams etc. etc.
How much money you got ? What's your level of spannering ??
But of course all of the above are "modifications" and you'll have to inform your insurance . . . which (if your age is correct in the profile), will significantly bump up your premiums.

It's direct off the front wheel on a Cat, so should be fine.0ldcat wrote: ..will make your speedo read inaccurate.
(I think you got a bit discombobulated with a car speedo there.. )

My pennies are endless, as in I go without untill I can afFord it haha.
Ive already ordered the New sprockets going up 2 teeth. Im alright at mechanics, not into engine stuff but carbs n bolt ons are easy peasy.
