What to do with the MSN cat Site ?
The MSN Cat Site ~What to Do~
I Have said my piece on the cat site you can see it there.
So the poll here is quite simple, 1. move later, 2. move now (here not withstanding), 3. just let people drift here, and do nothing with msn site, let it slip away.

Re: The MSN Cat Site ~What to Do~
If here's the place, I'd put a placeholder on the MSN site and point them this way from now on. No sense in delaying it imo as it gives you three or four months to migrate - lots of occasional visitors and what will be left after Feb to redirect people to here?

Re: The MSN Cat Site ~What to Do~
I recon a link on the MSN site to here and a note to say that as <DATE> the MSN site will not longer work.
I wouldn't copy it over. It's like moving house, as your packing you find a load of stuff that you loved and want to keep, but you end up being ruthless and binning a load of stuff. It's ok.
MSN we love you, you did the job and now it's time for retirment, thanks for the memories, you helped me forge some good friendships, and introduced me to Kev (TopDec), with whom I am still in regular contact with and see frequently...!!!!
ACTUALLY.... I have MSN to thank for Kev... BURN IT

Pics Fading away
I had thought this too, came up with the following :
The thought I had on this was that if individuals would move the pictures they had posted on msn to a renamed and new album here, pictures from say the 1st group Germany trip, some of the Welshpool trips, Big & Wee Macs', other various mile mark meets from the groups past etc etc. Plus any personal albums/favourites they'd like migrated.
A wee bit to much for the admins to tackle alone, and then which to choose and move and which to leave behind.
Remembering of course there are a lot of (for the want of a better phrase), dead memberships and albums over on the msn site.
A possible problem with that is the amount of allotted free storage for pictures in the gallery on this new site (10Mb) before having to buy more.
Another solution could be for people to move those photo's they would wish saved from the msn albums to a personal web storage place such as photobucket or whichever one they choose to use, and put a link in a new topic/thread/subject gender that could be added to the main forum.
Any thoughts
