Thundercat flew through MOT! Empty Thundercat flew through MOT!

Post  GazzyG Thu Jul 04 2013, 21:51

Got back from holiday and found that the Cat's insurance and tax had just expired AND its MOT was due by the end of July.

So duly went on comparethemarket for insurance (£182 FC with ride any bike with Hastings).

Booked it in for its MOT with my local Yam garage (LenManchester of Melton). Passed with one advisory - Race Can a bit noisy, lol.

Took my MOT, insurance and reg proudly down to the Post Office and bought me a year's worth of tax.

Let's crack on with a summer of riding! great

As a side note, was having a good look around some of the cruisers whilst I was in there. Sat on a Triumph Speedmaster in red. Stunning bike. Started it up as I noticed it was a parallel twin rather than a V and wanted to hear the difference.

Sounded superb, even with the standard pipes on. Might be an option for the future when I finally realise that I don't have the talent to handle a sportsbike, lol!

It's a super-sports bike.

You made a talented decision to get it back on the road.....I'm sure you'll be just fine.

Cheers

I like that lid you have. Cool Who makes it?

(Prefer a visor to crack open at low speeds, but might make an exception in that case Cool )

I just insured the R6 through Hastings too, came in miles cheaper than Carol Nash or Bennetts who I have used up until now.

Cheers Rosco! Hardly got to use it whatsoever last summer, so determined to get as much riding done on it as I can this year!

Cheers Wooster! It gets a load of comments, lol.

It's made by Shark and called the Raw. The front goggles and mouthpiece are held onto the main body with some stretchy elastic material, so it works as a flip-lid! I have to say, it's extremely comfortable in the summer, but I doubt it'd be much cop in the winter, lol.

Aye, I was very surprised! Was tempted to go with H&R again, but they were nowhere near competitive for me this year.
