Re: OK..... I surrender.......
So the CAT is out of the bag so to speak.
Won't be doing a sign up page till after Big Mac.
Just wish the place was a big bigger.
Dianne did mention about the a youth hostel possibly opening its doors and there is the cottage only a short walk (unless you're Cath) away.
They'll not be up to Broadmeadows standard but they would work out a bit cheaper.
Cheers

Stop clowning around Dave.
You know it'll be more than that.
If I said I've got a bed with your name on it then people would just talk.
Let's just leave it there.

Re: OK..... I surrender.......
I'm thinking I could probably make that one...
Will have to look into flying into Glasgow or Edinburgh and then hire a bike for the weekend but should be doable
Any suggestions for bike hire places that don't rip you off and give you a wreck to ride?

Re: OK..... I surrender.......
Hi Thomas.
Be great if you could make it.
Don't know any bike hire places to recommend - sorry.
You can hire mine for £500 a day though (never been dropped or ridden in the wet - honest) one careful lady owner.
I've only got one bike so can't lend you my spare.
I did say at the last one that those who booked at least the first two nights and stayed at Broadmeadows last year would get first refusal on rooms.
That does leave a few spaces as some folks had to pull out at the last minute.
If you were to make it I'm sure we'll manage to squeeze you in at the main venue since you'd be making such an effort to get there.
I just wish they could accommodate more people for us.
Cheers
Ross

Loving the interest but this isn't a sign up page folks.....There will be one going up after Big Mac.

We'll have a short(ish) sign up period and then if we're over-subscribed we'll pick names out the hat for spaces at the main venue and see what other accommodation there is available nearby.
Cheers

Re: OK..... I surrender.......
Don't want to take anyone's space.... no worries.
Never been to Scotland on a bike so thought that'd be a good opportunity for it...
I'll come to Big Mac 2014 instead assuming there aren't any accommodation restrictions?

Re: OK..... I surrender.......
Terry Who?
Don't worry Terry - You'll even be able to bring your butler....maybe.
Thomas - You wouldn't be taking anyone's space.
The venue we've had for Wee Mac the last two years is the best accommodation I've stayed in on any biking weekend away and it is good value for money. It is just limited on spaces and accommodation nearby is fairly limited too.
You can gauge other folks interest when I put a sign-up page up in August (after this years Big Mac) and make a decision then if you want to.
Wee Mac is normally in the Borders basing in Yarrowford nr Selkirk and 'normally' in April.
Big Mac is normally up North of Scotland somewhere (although this year we're over in Oban on the west coast) and is 'normally' in late July or early August. . We normally stay in a youth hostel to keep costs down and keep everyone together although we don't force people to stay in the accommodation and some folks sort their own B&B's or hotels which is fine.
There are never any guarantees on weather but Big Mac 'should' have better weather.
Cheers

After the temperatures on some of the passes we went over and the drenching I got on the way home I'm not afraid of any of the weather Scotland can throw at me
Will wait for the sign-up and then decide but definitely planning one of the two for next year
