Hello from Nottingham UK
Hi everybody,
I have owned a P plate yellow and silver Cat for the past 7 years. I am new to this forum but have been hanging around and contributing to the Bikersoracle Cat forum for years. I live between Nottingham and Loughborough in the East Midlands and ride mainly May to November, leisure riding only. I enjoy touring round the UK and once a year on the continent with friends for 4 or 5 days. I'm going to try my hand at camping with the Cat at the end of June. I do all my own maintenance and pride myself in the condition of my Cat. It really holds it's own against the 3 x FZ1s and a Triumph Sprint st1050 that my mates ride, I need nothing else. It's the best looking bike of the lot (oft debated over a beer) and from a value for money perspective wins hands down. I can't sell it for these reasons + the fact I have accrued matching leathers/gloves etc
I've just cleaned out the brakes again and will be changing oil+filter next week. The winter just gone was a long one and I can't leave the poor Cat alone now the good weather's here (well the odd day).
This is a great site/forum and I look forward to delving deeper into the tech/how to sections.
Cheers! MB

Can't sell it because of the matching leathers and gloves!!!! Love it! Welcome to the forum, I was on Bikers Oracle for a bit too. This is a mine of information and some really fantastic people. Have a look in the 'something for the weekend' section, there are a couple of rideouts coming up that are fairly close to you.. Enjoy, and ask any questions you need.

Hello & Welcome MB,
I think with your knowledge other members will likely be delving into your posts rather than the other way round.
As said above, have a look in the (How About) Something for the Weekend bit. You'll have noticed no doubt that the events in there are also on the rolling announcement banner at the top of each page.
There are a few on here that frequent the oracle pages, but I'm told it's a bit . . . . . . over there at times.
Still , glad you have found us and welcome aboard indeed
NOW for the legal bit . . . .
Caution ! May contain Nuts

Re: Hello from Nottingham UK
Hello & Welcome! I did the matching thing with my yellow & silver cat... now I have yellow gear and a blue Thunderace
I have been on the Oracle forum for the Ace but like Oldcat says I find it bit less 'enthusiastic'. But I would when comparing to this site, there truly is nothing like it!
Hope you enjoy the site and look forward to perhaps meeting you on a ride out one day.
Cheers
Paul

Re: Hello from Nottingham UK
Hi and welcome aboard. I do agree with others about The Oracle, it's usually pretty deserted and rarely did anyone respond to posts etc, this place is a lot more homely.
Even if no one has anything sensible to contribute members on here will post something anyway just to be friendly, much better me thinks
Cheers
Steve
