Thundersprint
Anyone going to Thundersprint 2013 ? I'm unsure at the moment, I might have more fun riding for the day than watching others.

Re: Thundersprint
Do you know that it's on Anglesey this year? I think that it must be about a 120 mile ride over there from my house. If the weather can keep getting better it'll be ace.

No, nothing m8, it's just the question reads like you hadn't noticed the link with all the info (inc. location) is all.
Re: Thundersprint
Did anyone else go in the end? Mixed day weather-wise but it turned into a brilliant afternoon. A boring blast over there on the motorway and A55, a much more enjoyable ride back through Snowdonia on the way home. Got in 250 miles on the bike yesterday which is probably 200 further than I've ever been in a day before and not too sore at all today.

Re: Thundersprint
Got there about 12.30. Was bit bothered when saw loads of bikes coming away - thought might have been cancelled due to weather but 15 mins after getting there sun came out and fantastic afternoon
Must have taken pretty much same route as you Matt - down M56, A55 but coming back did Llanberis Pass headed up towards Llangollen, what an awesome road, brilliant way to finish the day apart from flash of a speed camera near Chester

Re: Thundersprint
That was what I meant to say, saw loads of other 'cats.
Phildigger, did you stop at a services just before/just into Wales riding 2up for a cig? If so, the I was the rude guy drinking coffee not introducing himself. You must have got to Anglesey about 10mins after me. I was bloody freezing at that stage really wondering whether I was completely mad riding over in that weather. It's amazing what a cup of coffee, putting a jumper and neck warmer on and doing up vents in your jacket can do for motivation to ride. I felt much better after getting going again and less like turning around which I was contemplating at the time.
Saw a pretty battered red, white and black cat parked up at Anglesey, passed by a blue one going quick just past Chester on the M56 on the way back and saw a black one (didn't know they did black ones) at the Shell garage on A5 in Betws-y-coed on the way back as part of a pretty big group.
So four, which in my world, is loads!

Re: Thundersprint
Think it was us Matt, blue n white cat stopped just off forecourt, were you sat on rock slurping coffee? Didn`t even reaslise what you were riding, think the cold and damp had well and truly set in by then lol.
Only saw couple of cats there, blue and white one leaving as we got there and the red, white and black that you mentioned Matt. To be honest though thought colour scheme was more gaffer tape black than paint job
