VIN mismatch
Ello ello,
I decided to check the vin on the bike to the V5 and the bikes vin is JYA4TV000000***** AND THE V5 has JYAVTV000000*****.
Everything is the same apart from the 4/V, so what should I do about it? Could this be an error on DVLA's behalf?
Thanks
Tom

Re: VIN mismatch
It could be an inputting error on someone's part, I had a similar issue when selling a car years ago, hpi check showed a discrepancy between the actual mileage and what they had recorded adding 90,000 miles. Turned out to be an inputting error when the car changed owners and the mileage was disclosed, I just had to prove it which was easy with a full dealer service history.
In your case I suppose the V and the 4 could be confused but it'll need rectifying one way or the other.

Hi
I have just checked mine and they both start with JYA4TV these are primary vehicle ID numbers. Is yours a 1998? Looks like the DVLA have got it wrong

Re: VIN mismatch
The model code for the Thundercat is 4TV, so they will all say that, regardless of year. Frankly it is more notable when the DVLA get something right, so you should assume anything they do is wrong until otherwise proven.
So yes, it's a mistake. I hope it is as easy to sort as it should be.
