hello from cumbria
someone left the door open so thought id have a look in, i live in east cumbria and have been riding a thunderace for a couple years also had an xj900f(pre diversion) for commuting duties but since that gave up the ghost decided to look around for something to replace it i eventually found a nice 2002 thundercat with 16000 miles and 1 owner and service history, thought the Ace and Cat make a nice pair one thing i did notice with the cat was a bit of cam chain rattle on start up but soon disappears when warm.
i do a lot of riding around alston so may meet up with some folks up hartside.

Re: hello from cumbria
Welcome
Hope you enjoy your stay. Cumbria and the N Pennnes are a great area to ride in. May be a bit snowy right now?
Have a good wander about in here. Always good to see some pics. Hopefully w can get a group pic up at Hartside this year - see you there?!
Ride safe,
Chris

Re: hello from cumbria
thanks for the warm welcome folks, looks like a great forum still finding my way round, i try to avoid the cumbria side for riding as its too busy i mainly ride the north pennines its a bikers paradise
as to comparing the Ace and Cat thats a tough one i thought the Cat was more like a 750 rather than a 600 its only my third ride so far so cant comment fully as yet but im enjoying it
this is the Ace up weardale last year

Re: hello from cumbria
Hi and welcome to the forum, lovely pair of Yammy's you have there, the cat reminds me of the one I had, same colour and year and by the looks of it pretty inmolested apart from the indicators and end can, 2 mods I allowed on mine, not the biggest fan of original indicators anyway, fastest colour too i note.
Glad you found your way in and hope you stick around, we're a pretty friendly bunch on the whole and always willing to give advice as needed and a good ribbing where deemed necessary.
Cheers
Steve

Re: hello from cumbria
cheers steve, was unsure about the indicators but might leave them on the exhausts nice and throaty but not overly loud so thats staying, it also came with oxford heated grips which are nice in this weather

Hello and welcome to the forum dick65.
Lovely pair of stable mates you have there. Just like our Fi has north of the border.
Hope you enjoy it in here, look forward to your input and maybe seeing you out there sometime.
Take a wee peek in the How about "Something for the Weekend" section for some of our annual ride outs . . . always a hoot
Cheers

Hello and welcome.
Nice pair. I'm sure there's a link somewhere on here to the yammi advert that went out. Puts us UK blokes to shame.
Regards Rich.
