New thundercat owner
Evening all,
Thought id pop a quick post up to say hi, purchased my thundercat around a month ago as my first 'big' bike and have been lurking for the last couple of weeks on the forum so I thought it was about time I posted up to introduce myself.
Names Alex, based in Woking - Surrey and bought a 97 s reg in black/red/white (although that has already been changed but il post that up in the gallery section after I run down to take some new pics lol)
So yeah Hi

Re: New thundercat owner
Hi Alex and welcome to the madhouse, have a good look around and if you have any questions just post em up, we're a pretty friendly bunch on the whole
Also have a look at something for the weekend there's a few organised ride outs every year, really good fun and I'd say on a personal level particularly good for the newbie as they cater for all experience levels and its good to get the perspective of some experienced riders and it'll do your own skills no harm, I went on my first within months of passing and I've know people come out within days of passing.
Oh and I've already posted on your little gallery, stunning pal!!

Thanks mate, really looking forward to the summer and getting some riding in and I definitely think I would really benefit from some pointers from some veterans ... at least il get a decent amount of practice in just getting to one of the meets as the all seem quite far oop north

You've hit the nail on the head. The ride-out is only half the story. Getting there and back can be as much an adventure as the day itself. You might be nervous heading up to the venue, but I guarantee you'll feel a whole lot different on the way back. You'll just have to find out.
Hope to see you on one of the events.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: New thundercat owner
Hello & Welcome Alex,
I too posted on your gallery pic thread . . . stunning.
I suppose Bishops Castle (BC) & Taste of Lincolnshire (ToL) are the closest weekenders we do to you.
But as has been said above . . . the getting there and back again are as much a part of the adventure as the event itself.
Give it a whirl . . go on . . you know you want to
Cheers

Re: New thundercat owner
cheers for the warm welcome I really appreciate it and don't worry a few miles never stopped me before ... gone as far north as Glasgow picking up cars in the past and my mother in law lives in Boston so I've got a decent stop off point on route anyways
