hi all merry xmas from a newbee
Hi everybody im new to the forum so i will introduce myself.I am a 45 year old plasterer from Chester and for the last 21 years have been banned from owning a bike by the wife. They are dangerous,Death traps,You are to old,They are not safe are some of the replys ive had off her everytime i mention getting a bike.Anyway i finally ground her down, the kids are older now so last week she finally gave in and i bought myself an 02 plate thundercat. What a superb ride this bike is it is so smooth i cant wait till warmer days when i can take her on the welsh roads for a good blast. My last bike was a honda vf500 which was great but these machines are so much better im itchin to get out.Anyway im looking forward to joining in on this forum.Happy christmas to you all

ohh, and well done for putting your foot down lol.
I too keep getting told they're dangerous but then so are cars, buses, trains and planes. Planes especially, i hate them lol

Hi Oggy,
Welcome to the site. Congratulations on becoming a bike owner - and a Thundercat too! What a sensible choice and one of the safest bikes out there. Just remember it's the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat the needs constant adjustment!
Ride safely and get to know your steed. Join us on a rideout if you can get the time out. Hope you have a great 2013.
Cheers,
Chris
