Re: dash bulbs
There's an easy way to do it (depending on the size of your hands) which I'm sure someone will be able to tell you to the last detail - it can be done with just removing the screen, and a few other bits, rather than the complete disassemble that the Haynes mentions.
As far as changing them for LEDs - yup and it looks good when done

Fi is right, I just about got to all of mine with the screen off. The worst bulb on the bike is the front sidelight

Re: dash bulbs
Just rode mine at night last night, all bulbs but one on the rev counter are blown!
Any reccomendation to wattage (I can find 1.7W or 3W in my local shops). Is it personal preference to the amount of illumination? Or am I risking melting the dash with a 3 Watter

Re: dash bulbs
I managed to get a couple of 1.7s but also have a couple of 2.2s I got in Halfords. When I replaced them , I found a 5w in there so I assumed they're ok too. As for getting to the bulbs, I took the screen, mirrors and dash panel off but I didn't find it too much of a hassle.
